Statement
For visual artist Christina Justiz & code & sound artist Christopher Roush, creative collaboration was a natural evolution of their partnership. They met at Sarah Lawrence College in 2007 where their shared love of physics, philosophy & the hours between 12 and 5am created the solid framework of inspiring debate on which they have built their artistic practice.
Coming at it from either side of the technology vs. nature debate, they have found common ground where it is always found: in the center. Their art explores the ways in which these notions have become intertwined in modern society, and employs technology as metaphor for nature and humanity, and vice versa.
